[No no no no no no. No. That's not her mom. That's not her mom, and this isn't the airport, and it's another nightmare, it has to be. What else could it be? It's a dream and it's not her dream and that means she's trapped.]

[Anybody in New Bark will likely catch the sight of a little girl slowly backing away from the house she'd woken up in with wide eyes before breaking into a run and coming to a stop next to some trees to dig through her backpack. Except it's not her own backpack. And the things inside aren't what she wants or needs them to be.]

[Which is a big stressor to a kid who has no idea what to do.]

Hello? Mr- Parkman? I didn't do anything, I promise.

[Spoken with the urgency of children who want to prove themselves innocent everywhere.]

[ Have a small Japanese girl staring into the camera, too excited for audio. That sure sounds like another girl her age! Oh gosh, this never happens! ]

Um, I don't know who Parkman-san is, but hi! My name's Mimi Tachikawa! Are you new here?

_{[-- woah hello there, sudden video, that's. Absolutely unexpected, so it takes a second for Molly to answer since she just kind of stares for a minute.]

I think you're probably in New Bark Town! If you just got here, I mean. That's where everyone starts out! Do you have a Pokémon? Are you American? What's your name?

[As are those questions, apparently. Molly's a little caught off guard but she doesn't exactly mind, even if she's not sure how to keep up.]}

New Bark Town, um. [ Mimi scrunches up her face. ] I think it's somewhere... east of here? [ Helpful, Mimi. ]

Oh yeah! And this prefecture, or country or whatever it is, is called Johto! This isn't the same world as Earth, if that's where you're from! People here are from a lot of different worlds, so who knows!

Oh! And Pokémon are the creatures in this world! There are a lot of different kinds! This is Palko! [ Mimi tilts the camera down to reveal a cactus - a Maractus, to be precise - looking up at it. She smiles and waves upon hearing her name. ] Palko was there when I woke up in this world, so you probably have a Pokémon who was there too! Do you have one? [ She cranes her neck, as if this would let her see offscreen. ]

_{[WHAT'S AN HONORIFIC. There's so much going on with you! Like what even is that - is that a living cactus. ... that is a living cactus.]

[Molly stares for a long moment. Yeah, it should be obvious this is all new to her. So she's speaking slowly, trying to grasp it.]}

But someone is doing this. Someone has to be doing this.

Why would they give us things? ... I didn't see anything.

There probably is something that brought us here! I don't think anyone knows what it is, though. It might be the weird llama we met a couple months ago. I think that was a god or something!

You didn't get a Pokémon? That's so weird! Everyone's supposed to get one! Maybe you just got a really tiny one and you can't see it!

I don't see why a god couldn't be a llama! There's all kinds of stuff that can be gods!

I don't know why she's a cactus! I guess she was just born that way! Although my best friend in the world I came from could sometimes turn into a giant cactus, so maybe that has something to do with it!

[ Saying this casually, like being best friends with a giant cactus is the most normal thing in the world. ]

Yeah, but it's pretty cool! When she's a cactus she can shoot needles at people! And she's gonna be able to turn into something even cooler! I just don't know what yet!

[ Mimi's face falls slightly at Molly's question. ] Oh... No, she's not here. None of my friends from home are, but it's okay! I've made a lot of new friends!

Yeah! I've been here for [ she pauses to count on her fingers ] just about six months! I was really scared at first, but this world is really nice! It's a lot better than the one I came from, anyway!

I thought maybe it was a dream. Or a nightmare.

Well, if it is, then I've been having this dream for an awfully long time! Unless I only dreamed that it's been that long? But wait a second, if this is your dream, I guess you're the one who's been dreaming it, so it doesn't really matter how long I've been here or not!

[ Seriously pondering this now. It's deep stuff, man. ]

But if it's a dream, I don't think it's a nightmare! Like I said, it's really nice here! I bet you're going to get along just fine!

Everyone seems pretty happy. But it's still not right that we're here when we didn't ask to be.

You're right, it's not really fair! But I didn't ask to be brought to the Digital World either, so I guess I'm kind of used to it, eheh! [ At this point she just sort of goes along with these things. ]

Oh! I don't think they are worried about me, because Jakuzure-san told me time stops back home while we're here! So when I go home, I'll go back to the same time that I left! I think that's how it works, anyway!
