Action:

[No no no no no no. No. That's not her mom. That's not her mom, and this isn't the airport, and it's another nightmare, it has to be. What else could it be? It's a dream and it's not her dream and that means she's trapped.]

[Anybody in New Bark will likely catch the sight of a little girl slowly backing away from the house she'd woken up in with wide eyes before breaking into a run and coming to a stop next to some trees to dig through her backpack. Except it's not her own backpack. And the things inside aren't what she wants or needs them to be.]

[Which is a big stressor to a kid who has no idea what to do.]

Audio, later:

Hello? Mr- Parkman? I didn't do anything, I promise.

[Spoken with the urgency of children who want to prove themselves innocent everywhere.]

Please let me out.

I guess not... but we're not allowed to leave here.

I mean, we can't.

But if someone put us here, then someone else could get us out.

[She shook her head sadly, frowning.]

You see, we're all in another world.

_{[She can accept that, but that's hardly a comfort.]}

But that doesn't matter. If we're here we got here somehow. So there has to be a way back.

Ah... Apparently.

[She didn't understand it, but she'd try to explain.]

Well, yeah, there should be a way out. People have looked for it, I've looked for it.

[She rubs the back of her neck, looking a little downtrodden.]

No one has found anything. And, there's been people who've been here for years.

_{[Molly sighs.]}

Someone told me that. And everyone is saying nobody knows how this works or how to get out.

It's unfair.

[A nod.] It is.

[She couldn't believe how unfair it was, in retrospect. Everyone was powerless and stuck in a land they couldn't escape from.

Veronica shrugged.] But, that's just how it is. Sometimes people disappear though, and I guess that means they can go back home. Maybe that'll happen to you.

I hope so.

Everybody must be really worried.

_{[For her, and for everyone else who's stuck here. Or in a way, she kind of hopes they are. But it'll be a while until they realize she's missing. And that worries her too.]}

Apparently time freezes back home. At least, that's what someone told me...

We don't know that. It might be some kind of Pokémon keeping us here, or, it might be something else.

[And that "something else" worried her a little.]

I know some people can do that. Maybe it's a person.

[That's... only a little surprising.]

Yes. I haven't met him, but I've heard about him.

But maybe it won't work here.

[She doubted it.]

But, if it does, then this guy just has to come here and break us all out.

That's what I mean. There's always someone who can do it. There has to be.

Well, whoever that person is, they haven't shown up yet and I don't think they will.

[She's not going to bet money on this, even if she wanted to.]

We cant just sit around and wait.

Do you have any idea what to do?

_{[Asked earnestly. If you have a plan, please to let Molly in on the plan.]}

Well, we need to keep investigating this world. There's things we don't know yet, things that I think are being kept from us.

_{[So you don't really have a plan. That's okay, Molly can improvise, but there's still a little downtrodden tone in the way she answers.]}

That's what everybody keeps saying.

Of course we'll keep looking.

Have you been here long?

I've been here about five months. I showed up in August.

[She was just as confused as Molly was. So, to try and lesson the whole confusion and panic thing...]

I know some people who've gone home and come back. They said that things don't change since the moment you left.
