[Hello network! Today we have a pretty excited looking Molly who's keeping the camera turned around on herself as she's walking through a busy Goldenrod street. Her Natu is perched on her shoulder, on occasion chirping quietly to herself.]
This city is really big! I mean, I knew it'd be big, and I know it's not as big as New York, but it's really big compared to Violet.
Anyway, I bought a map, and I saved up some money, so ... does anybody know any good places that I should go to? Like your favorite spots or something? Everybody has those.
Okay, bye!
[She waves at the feed before she turns it off.]
[Action: she is anywhere and everywhere throughout this and the following days, having fun in following that tourist map of hers to well known stores and coffee shops and craft stores and town squares and yes she wants to see everything. Feel free to run into her anywhere.]
Audio, private to Jimmy: Hi Jimmy, I'm in Goldenrod now! If you still want to fly here.
Audio, private to Rin: I'm here now! Where are you? Can I come see you if you're not busy?

[action]
[Even if she isn't, she might when something overhead lets out a prehistoric screech...accompanied by a less loud voice shouting:]
Land! Land!
[There's an Aerodactyl wearing a harness of some kind, diving at speed down towards the street. And on his back is a person hanging on for dear life, green ponytail flapping in the wind. Behind them, further up and back and not audible yet, is a huge flock of Pidove coming straight after them. The Aerodactyl spreads his wings to slow down for landing but doesn't quite slow down enough, thumping and skidding onto the ground and having to awkwardly run for a little ways.]
[That run ends not far away from where Molly is. Envy gets himself out of the harness and hops off, wobbling a little when he hits the ground, but then he's up and looking over his shoulder. The Pidove flock is still coming, led by one particularly fat bird. Envy makes a face that is both alarmed and disbelieving, yelling at them:]
Oh come on!
[Then he turns and sees Molly. Oh hey, he recognizes you!]
...hey, kid, you should probably start running too!
[Which he's going to start doing just as soon as he recalls his winded dinosaur. THE WARCRIES OF THE ANGRY PIGEON MOB CAN BE HEARD NOW. Welcome to Goldenrod, Molly.]
[action]
[She caught that huge flying pokémon in the distance when it made sound, but she figured it'd fly past. Even if she kept looking for a while, because that looked really really cool, just someone flying on a huge dragon thing.]
[It got less cool the closer it got. What was she supposed to do other than gape at the huge dragon thing now only a few feet away and THAT guy who was really old and a bit of a jerk hop off it?]
[Back up slowly was what.]
[Except, uh. Run? Okay. She quickly recalls her Natu the moment she realizes that this is apparently the smartest idea, and after a look over her shoulder at the impending Pidove flock of Doom, she grabs hold of her backpack straps and starts running too, all while shooting Envy a very confused and accusatory look.]
What did you do?
[Her experiences with homunculi will apparently be bound to include chaos.]
[action]
[But at least Envy doesn't pick up speed and leave her behind like he would have done once. No, he'll run alongside her, although he's pretty much ready to drag her along if those Pidove get much closer, rudeness be damned.]
I didn't do anything! I only tried to catch one!
There's nothing wrong with that!
[Although the way he tried to catch one was NOT EXACTLY ORTHODOX.]
[action]
[Again with the ton because OBVIOUSLY Envy did something more than just plain try to catch one. Did he try to catch the entire flock or what?]
[More likely he did something bad. That's her theory and she's sticking to it, even as she runs and tries to keep up with him. He's bigger and faser than her, but she keeps up fairly well for now.]
[action]
[But farther up ahead, there's the Pokemon Center! The perfect place to hide from angry mobs of pigeons. If they can make it that far before they're caught.]
Up there!
[action]
[It's not exactly close but the safety of that red roof is totally unmistakable.]
I see it!
[And they should both be hearing those Pidoves, too. Eesh.]
[action]
[But the Pidoves are definitely not flying slowly, and they're almost on top of them by the time they get near the door. A few of the birds start diving at the pair of them--not actual attacks, they don't use attacks on humans, but anyone who's ever been chased by a bluejay knows that getting dived at is no joke.]
Damn it!
[Yeah he just got smacked in the side of the head with a heavy wing. And the safety of those sliding glass doors is so close but not quite close enough.]
[Okay you KNOW WHAT? For that last little way, he just reaches down and puts his arms around her waist to try picking her up so he can SPRINT the rest of the way. It's not nearly as easy as it would be if he had his powers, but being a trapeze artist has done wonders for his arm strength.]
Sorry!
[action]
[So when he picks her up, she lets out a startled, reluctant sound, but when she realized what he's doing she twists around and holds onto his shoulders until they're indoors.]
[Which is probably an awkward as hell angle to both be carrying someone and be carried at, but it's less awkward than being mobbed by pigeons.]
[... who, once they're indoors, are angrily screeching outside the windows, pecking at the glass and beating their wings against it, rustling angrily and glaring at the two of them. But particlarly Envy.]
[Molly stares at them for a moment and then starts squirming out of his grip.]
[SILENCE REIGNS. Other than the Pidoves. And then some gentleman with a Skitty by his side loudly clears his throat.]
[action]
[And he'll shoot a glare at that guy with the Skitty too, DON'T YOU JUDGE HIM.]
You're not hurt, right?
[He gives her a quick glance over to make sure there's no OBVIOUS INJURIES, because even if he is a jerk that doesn't mean he wouldn't feel kind of bad if he accidentally got this kid wounded by the pigeon mafia.]
[action]
[Molly shakes her head at him, because as far as she can tell, she's not hurt. And she's pretty sure she wasn't hurt. She is, however, staring at the horde of pigeons that are still pecking at the window and probably yelling bird obscenities at them.]
[You know, for a moment. Then she spins around to look at Envy with a mix of frustration and concern.]
You're not either, right?
[action]
Nah. One of them...slapped me, I guess, but it didn't hurt.
...did you just get here? Nice welcome to the city for you.
[WHOOPS...he does at least look a little bit apologetic. He looks back outside, where the fat Pidove who'd been leading the attack is doing a bird impression of the "I'm watching you" gesture. Eesh.]
...I think I'll stay in here for a little while.
[action]
[Nice welcome to the city, for sure.]
Did you try apologising?
[action]
I'm not so sure that'd work.
[action]
Okay.
I wonder how long until they're gone.
[action]
[He gives her an exasperated Look for that, one hand on his hip. He knows what you're doing there. But then he looks out the window again, where Fat Stanley sits. Waiting. Showing exactly no signs of leaving anytime soon.]
How would I even get out there to do that without getting mobbed?
[WELL, HE'S NOW CONSIDERING APOLOGIZING TO THE BIRD.]
[action]
[She can't hide a quick little smile when he starts thinking about it though, and immediately starts helping him.]
I have one of those ... Well, an evolved one. Maybe she could help you. Or at least kep them from attacking you.
[action]
A bird go-between, huh? Maybe that will work. But if I get attacked, this time it's on you.
[With a finger point for emphasis.]
Okay, let her out and let's get this over with.
[action]
She's kinda mean. So you have to be nice to her.
[Or else it will in fact be your own fault if you're getting attacked, Envy. But okay, having found the pokéball, Molly lets out Feather the Tranquill, who immediately looks a little annoyed.]
[action]
[He might be grouchy from bird attacks and feeling ridiculous over the prospect of apologizing to them when he clearly didn't do anything wrong!!, but he couldn't help that little bit of playful teasing getting out.]
[But, sigh. Yes, he can play nice if he has to. He also has his own share of unfriendly Pokemon, he knows what to do about that. So when Feather comes out he crouches, balancing on the balls of his feet with his arms resting on his knees.]
Hey there, your trainer says you can help me out with those guys out there? They're not happy with me, but if they see you, then maybe they won't attack me too fast.
[He jabs a thumb over his shoulder, gesturing at the crowd of waiting Pidove.]
[action]
[Feather trills and ruffles her feathers and takes a step towards Envy, all kinds of posturing, not quite appearing to be listening - except she does look at the herd of Pidove when he points them out to her.]
[She pauses.]
[... she IS a bigger, better, evolved bird, and she wouldn't mind putting these little punks in their place.]
[On the other hand, she also likes being a pain in the butt.]
[She considers this and then clicks her beak in front of Envy's face, cause you know, she's not doing this for you, but then hops past him and spreads her wings towards the window, shooting the Pidoves outside a mighty glare as she demands their attention.]
[action]
[And he stands back up once she's gone over to the door and watches.]
[Fat Stanley, leader of the Pidove Mafia, sees that he's being contacted by an evolved bird. So he deigns to hop over to sit in front of Feather on the other side of the glass, puffing his chest up to look more impressive.]
[Attention granted!]
[action]
[Behold: a ruffled up Tranquill subtly opening her wings in front of the window and letting out a low little trill that might have been more ominous if it had been in a lower pitch but still gets the job done. Well, probably.]
[It's basically shorthand for go away, this is my place now instead of any actual problem solving, but it still might let them get out of the Center, at least??]
[Molly stands watching the display somewhat critically, cause she knows Feather isn't gonna mediate that easily and is mostly just showing herself off, but she doesn't interfere even as she comes to stand next to Envy to get a better look.]
