[Hello network! Today we have a pretty excited looking Molly who's keeping the camera turned around on herself as she's walking through a busy Goldenrod street. Her Natu is perched on her shoulder, on occasion chirping quietly to herself.]

This city is really big! I mean, I knew it'd be big, and I know it's not as big as New York, but it's really big compared to Violet.

Anyway, I bought a map, and I saved up some money, so ... does anybody know any good places that I should go to? Like your favorite spots or something? Everybody has those.

[She waves at the feed before she turns it off.]

[Action: she is anywhere and everywhere throughout this and the following days, having fun in following that tourist map of hers to well known stores and coffee shops and craft stores and town squares and yes she wants to see everything. Feel free to run into her anywhere.]

_{[She nods, and changes her black pencil for another color.]}

...I'm sorry. I didn't mean for our conversation to get so somber.

[He laughs weakly, lifting a hand to scratch the side of his face.]

_{[She simply shrugs, apparently a little stuck in the mindset now even if she's not that interested in staying in it for long.]}

It's okay. It happens.

[Kaneki nods a little, returning his attention back to his own drawing for a moment before glancing back over at hers, briefly.]

Hey...that looks just like me.

_{[She pauses over the drawing, but looks up at him with a little smile even though she's also wrinkling her nose. Good call on topic change, Kaneki.]}

It's not even finished yet.

Maybe, but I can already tell it's going to be good. You're a lot farther along than I am.

[Which is mostly because he's been idly drawing the same line for the past few minutes, making it much darker than all the rest.]

_{[Okay, smile growing as she switches pencil again.]}

_{[And then she falls silent for a few moments in concentration as she works out his facial features, and while the drawing for obvious reasons is still pretty simple, she did something right in his smile. When she's done, she holds up the sketch pad for him to see.]}

[His real smile mirrors the one she drew as he looks at the drawing.]

That's really good, Molly-san.

[He holds up his own as he says that; it's pretty simple as far as drawings go, but it isn't terrible either. You can at least tell he was drawing a person, at least.

And as they're showing each other their drawings Hide holds up his paper as well, showing a picture of three Smeargle all holding hands with the one in the center being the smallest.]

_{[She smiles widely as she looks at his rendition of her. Quality isn't that important in the end, she's just pretty happy he went along.]}

_{[And then Aria chirps at Hide and Molly turns her head to see his drawing too, and then her smile is a little softer.]}

Aw ... who's that?

[His tail wags happily as he barks softly at Aria. "Momma! Papa!"

Kaneki puts the pencil he had been using back down so Molly can retrieve it, looking over at the drawing himself.]

Ah...those must be his parents.

[Hide nods, pointing at the one in the middle and looking expectantly at Kaneki, who continues.]

And that's Hide with them.

_{[Aria carefully hops closer to the Smeargle to see, trilling softly in reply.]

[Molly folds her drawing over so she has a new fresh page to start at in case she wants to draw more, but for now she leans over her sketchpad to look at the drawing and then at Kaneki when he explains.]}

He knows his parents?

[Kaneki nods as Hide puts the drawing back down to touch it up a bit more, this time with his tail.]

The breeder who owns his parents has talked to me over video a few times, so he's seen them...he just hasn't met them in person, yet.

I wonder if our starters have parents.

_{[She looks at Aria who's still paying attention to Hide, feeling suddenly a little puzzled. Because Aria had just been there, ready to stay with her, but what if she had a family somewhere too?]}

I mean ... that they knew before they came to us.

[That's...actually a really good question.]

Hmm...I don't know. I've never asked anyone where they come from.

Me neither. I wish I could understand her better.

_{[She whistles a bit and Aria turns towards her, hopping over, chirping. Molly picks her up in her hands and pets her.]}

It doesn't seem like they mind being with us too much though...does it?

[Well...in most cases.]

I don't think so. I haven't seen anybody who doesn't get along with their first one, anyway.

[...well.]

Well...my starter can be a little hard to get along with. She doesn't like most other Pokemon...or people, really. But I think she's warmed up to me by now.

_{[Well that definitely makes her look up.]}

Who was your starter?

She's a Zangoose named Rikki. I named her after the Mongoose in Rudyard Kipling's famous story, "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi". She reminds me a lot of that character, since she's so...headstrong.

How long have you had her?

I've had her for as long as I've been here, so...about two months, now.

_{[... huh!]}

Then we've been here almost as long.

Oh, really? Time does seem to go by quickly here, doesn't it?

I guess.

But it's slow, too.
