[Jimmy and Molly had been on the road for a few days by now. It took little over four days to make the trek through Route 34 and on into the Ilex Forest. Though they could have flown straight to Azalea and made it there in far less time, it was more enjoyable to get to take in the scenery from the ground. Plus, camping in the forest was something Jimmy had been thinking about doing, and he figured Molly would enjoy it.
Having arrived into the forest late the previous evening, they'd been forced to set up camp and sleep until morning. Admittedly, it had been a bad time for traveling, since the past two days had been nothing but overcast and rain, and this morning was no different. And it had been so nice when they started out, too.
Thankfully this morning the rain had calmed to a gentle but steady drizzle beating against the top of their tent. Jimmy's fire types had been able to keep the heavier rain away for most of the early evening using Sunny Day, but it had worn off by now. Still, it wasn't unbearable at least.
Jimmy's still fast asleep with Leader curled up against his back, but depending on how light of a sleeper Molly is, she might notice that there's...something in their tent that wasn't there when they went to sleep. Something small and green, curled up near the edge of her sleeping bag pretty well soaked to the bone, shivering a bit.]
[He's right that Molly would enjoy it, and she's had fun making the camp cozy - or as cozy as they could, anyway, given the rain. While none of her Growlithe know Sunny day and couldn't help with that effort they were both curled up with them outside their pokéballs for their sheer body temperature and the comfort that brought, and so she slept well, even if yeah ... she'd slept too lightly for about a year now.]
[Not that she's plagued by nightmares right then. The company helps, is a major difference to the last time she was actually on the road like this, and she feels less lost and confused about what's going on around her.]
[But when the intruding grass-type nervously fidgets as Blaze stirs in his sleep and stretches out, starting to wake, it bumps into her sleeping bag and she blinks awake, not realizing why at first but sitting up with a yawn anyway, wanting to see if it's light out yet.]
[Which ... it's difficult to NOT notice the little lizard when she looks that way, and she stills immediately, much like it does; the tense uncertain eye contact lasts for a few moments until Molly makes a soft, shushing noise, hoping the lizard won't be scared, but it still seems deeply unsure for the moment.]
Jimmy!
[It's a loud whisper, but that won't cut it, she thinks, and she reaches over to nudge his shoulder.]
[Jimmy stirs as he's nudged, lifting his head with an unintelligible mumble.]
Whassit Molly...
[Meanwhile, having been spotted, the little Pokemon remains still up until Molly moves. As soon as she does it pulls back a little, padded feet slipping against the material of her sleeping bag as it does. It's very clearly a grass type, though not one that either one of them have encountered before.]
[She looks back to the pokemon in question, not wanting to startle it or accidentally chase it away. She nudges Jimmy again and then puts a hand on Blaze who's starting to wake up properly from the voices to make sure he doesn't do anything to startle the grass type, either.]
[He sits up and rubs his eyes with the back of his hand, blinking a few times to clear his vision before he can get a good look at the Pokemon in question.]
Woooah...I've never seen a Pokemon like that before! It musta' come in while it was raining.
[The little Pokemon looks between Molly and Jimmy, slowly growing less hesitant when it seems to be able to tell that they're not angry about the intrustion.]
[She sits up straighter and shoos Blaze back, which wakes up Ember, who just crawls into Molly's lap, completely unconcerned for the moment. Molly strokes them both with one hand and looks at Jimmy again.]
It's still raining out. I think it can stay if it wants.
[He shifts a little so he's leaning back against Leader's side, rummaging in his bag so he can pull out his Gear and switch to the Pokedex. After a moment, it scans the Pokemon still huddled near Molly, and Jimmy reads:]
Treecko, the Wood Gecko Pokemon. It quickly scales even vertical walls. It senses humidity with its tail to predict the next day's weather.
So that must be why it came in our tent...it knew it was gonna be raining for a while.
[The Treecko falters for a second, looking up at Molly curiously before padding a bit closer, sniffing at her arm. After deciding that it's safe to be here, the gecko lies down and curls its big tail around itself, continuing to keep an eye on Molly and Jimmy all the while.]
[Throwing a smile at Jimmy, she very carefully strokes a finger down the Treecko's side, but just once, and then she hugs her Growlithe pair closer to herself again.]
I think it's cute. I already have a lizard though.
[Not seriously meant, she never meant to catch it really, but it's still a little teasing.]
[He laughs, watching as the Treecko makes a soft little chittering sound at the contact, closing its eyes.]
Yeah, me too...I don't mind if it hangs around for a bit though. Maybe it'll end up leaving once the rain stops?
[He shrugs, reaching out himself to gently pet the top of the lizard's head similar to the way Molly did, earning himself another little noise from the Pokemon.]
[Now when she's been awake for a bit, she feels contentedly dozy again, in that nice, day-off kind of way. Maybe it's cause the Treecko is looking a little sleepy too.]
I don't think we should go until the rain stops either. It's nice in here.
[The Pokemon doesn't seem to mind, just rolling over on its other side before curling back up again.]
Yeaaah, I guess you're right! We should still prolly wait until the rain stops though...but I don't think it'll keep up much longer. And if it does, well. A little water never hurt anybody, right?
[He scoots over so he can see her Gear too, landing the Treecko somewhere between them and their legs. It doesn't seem bothered though, mostly because it's fallen fast asleep by now.]
[What a cute lizard. Molly grins and leans into Jimmy a bit and starts firing the angry Pidgeys into the Spoink structures, landing her a pretty decent score before she hands the gear over with an "okay, your turn".]
[He follows suit, taking the Gear in his hands while the rain continues to fall softly outside. Jimmy lets out a small noise of frustration when his own score falls just short of what hers was.]
[There's a pleased giggle from her end when she takes the gear back for a second go - because out of three, obviously - but doesn't answer other than with a tricksy smile as she gets to work, this time scoring lower, but not by that much. She can blame Blaze butting his head into her arm.]
[When she hands the gear back again, she adds, all tease,] What do I get when I win?
6/13; Action, early morning

Here. You can come in more if you want. We don't mind.

It's uuh...8:30, so still pretty early. I don't think the sun's come up all the way yet.

It's not even early anymore! Why are you still tired?

[He retorts, chuckling as he pulls his hand back from the Treecko so he can push his Gear back into his bag.]
I'm surprised you don't wanna sleep in till noon with how much walking we did yesterday.

Then we'd be wasting the whole day.

Well, how aboout...whoever wins gets to decide where we go in the Safari Zone first!
