6 ✶ video/action ✶ fourth wall
... did everybody get their powers back?
[A video that's short and sweet and shows cautious excitement, but also a trace of fear.]
It's not another dream, right?
[Action anywhere: Guess who REALLY LIKES HAVING HER POWER BACK? It's Molly. She's gonna be leaning back against a tree with her knees drawn up and her Johto and Kanto map books against her legs, flipping through and marking stuff that follows some kind of logic that's not immediately apparent.]
[That is, when she's not just looking around somewhat anxiously - she's confident she'll find her way back since she can see people again, but she still doesn't like the shifting world all that much. It's unpredictable. She could end up anywhere, and she does; the shifting routes can lead you pretty stray even when you're just trying to get back to Goldenrod.]

action;
[Tilting her head a little as she regards him, she then pulls her backpack closer to herself from where it was next to her against the tree, zipping it open as she keeps talking.]
You know, like there are dog pokémon, but some are called Growlithe and some are ... um, Snubbull, I think.
action;
[Said with all the authority of a twelve-year-old who's doing his level best at attempting to sound like he knows what's going on, when in reality he's not precisely sure what's going on.]
Do you live here? I think I've gotten a bit lost, and I'll be missed at home if I'm gone too long.
action;
No. I'm just stuck here.
People say when you get here you can't go back.
action;
[And all of a sudden it's like the world just fell into place.]
Gosh, what an adventure! I've heard about faraway places like this, but I'd never thought I'd end up seeing one myself! ...Or at least not until I grew a little older, anyway.
[Beat.]
I'm plenty old for it as it is, though.
action;
[She distractedly strokes a hand down Jay's neck as he leans into her side, but she all but stares at the boy, her frown clearly telling of her disbelief.]
You don't mind? Don't you want to go back?
action;
[He throws her a bright smile.]
You didn't know there are places like this?
action;
Not before I came here.
[Studying him, she's trying to figure out why he WOULD know, but of course ...]
Where are you from?
action;
Oh, yes, it seems there are all sorts of them. My mother was taken to one once, that's how I know of it.
[HOORAY, HE'S SPECIAL.]
What's the name of your kingdom? You must have one; I wonder if I've heard tell of it before.
action;
[But of course, this is when she really starts taking in his appearance and piecing together something about it.]
What's yours called?
action;
[He rocks back and forth on his heels, looking pleased with himself.]
America, that's in the same place that London is, isn't it?
action;
[And everybody knows that, and Tanalore doesn't sound real, so she just assumes.]
You must be from a totally different world. You kinda look like you are.
action;
[...]
It's a pity you're not from there! I should have liked to ask if you knew some people.
action;
[Is there a London in ... Tenelore? was that it?]
action;
[He pauses, pondering a minute.]
I suppose you might name off some cities you know of, and I could say if I've heard of any such people in them, just the same.
action;
[She'll go along with that pretty willingly - doesn't mind the things that remind her of home, not right now. But she'll keep pretty curious eyes on him cause she's still not sure exactly where he's going with it.]
action;
[Given the sincerity in his tone, he's completely serious, which all but confirms that he's Really Not From Around Here.]
action;
[Finally shrugging on her backpack and petting her Amaura to follow her, she steps up closer to him.]
Do you know where you were when you got here?
action;
[...]
I'm learning magic, I'll have you know.
action;
[Or that's what she's starting to say, anyway, but she does get interested enough by the not-quite topic change.]
... you have an ability? What kind?
action;
[And apparently someone has taught him to offer an apology when it's warranted. What good manners.]
As for the magic — I can work a few spells, if that's what you mean.
action;
What kind of spells?
action;
[He turns eagerly toward his Fennekin, extending his hands and mumbling under his breath.
And it's wobbly and haphazard, but gradually, the fox does indeed begin to float a handful of inches off the ground.]
There, see!
action;
[She steps another step forward to see better, her Amaura watching the Fennekin with interest but also concern. U ok buddy? Just say no if floating isn't your thing.]
[Molly has a small smile about it, but there's something just a touch wary, too.]
That's pretty cool.
Can you do other stuff too? That's just one spell, right?
action;
[Brag brag brag.]
I think it should be very nice to understand the language of animals in a place like this.
[He lowers the Fennekin back down to the ground, then pushes up his sleeves and waves his hands a second time — this time producing a tiny cloud that begins to shower down a miniature flurry of snowflakes.]
action;
I know people who can do things too, but they don't need spells.
[And this is where she puffs up a bit in turn, cause see? Just as awesome. If not better.]
They can just do it. I know someone who reads minds, and who can make snow, too. And I can find people. But we can just do it.
