I wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped me last time. I can't remember everyone's names, but thanks.

[There were a lot of you people. But she does appreciate it, which is why she's reaching out again.]

But ... okay, I have to ask a few things. I've heard people talk about badges, what are those?

And ... well, what are pokémon supposed to eat?

They've kind of been eating my food, but I don't know if that's good for them. But I haven't really found anything in those stores either, like bird food or ... dog food or anything like that. So if anyone could help me with that that'd be great.

Kalos or Kanto? I went on a trip to Kalos with Yukio, but I actually used to live in Kanto! I was a worker at the Breeding Center.

Hmm... [well, if he really had to choose -- ] ...Kanto. I like it here in Johto, but I really liked how Kanto's about technology. Kalos has tech too, but in Kanto it feels like - it feels more like home. Johto feels kinda old-fashioned, when you think of 'em side by side.

_{[She nods, seeing his point.]}

Yeah, everything seems so quiet. I'm from a city, so this feels really small.

So am I! My brother and I grew up in a monastery. That's the only place that was ever really quiet - well. Compared to how a city can get.

[But if he could go back to that monastery... well, no us thinking of that now.]

Wait 'til ya get to Violet! It's like a mix between super old fashioned buildings and regular modern stuff. I think Goldenrod is probably the most modern city here.

I want to see it!

[GONNA START WITH DEM JOKES AND HOPEFULLY THE REST WON'T SOUND TOO SAD] My brother and I didn't grow up with them. We were raised by the head priest.

[His smile evens out as a familiar face comes to mind. An old, drawn face. Eyes crinkled and voice booming as he chortled at his own joke at Rin's expense.] ...He was the best.

_{[Ahah aw, she does give him a quick smile for the joke, but it shifts pretty quickly into a serious nod.]

[Which then gets a gentler smile to it, at Rin's obvious recall. She can recognise that a little. She's thinking about her own parents now.]}

Then I guess he was your parent, right?

Yeah! That old man was - he was my dad in all the ways that matter, y'know?

[Molly has used the Power of Small Children to make Rin speak a little more about himself. +20 friendship points. He wants to ask about her family too, but she was just a little kid in a big world. It was a tough 50/50 gamble.]

I'm betting your parents didn't tell you some story about finding you in a watermelon.

No, they tried to tell me the stork story.

_{[She's not sure entirely sure how wrong that is, but she knows it's definitely not true.]}

You're not talkin' about that big ass bird from the nursery stories?

[Wow. Uhm. Molly looks like an elementary school kid so that makes sense. . . . but he didn't think people really told that story. He thought it was only on TV shows. And American movies.]

_{[She kind of shrugs. It hadn't been entirely serious, anyway. It was a way for her parents to be all "yeah we'll tell you later now go do something else".]}

I know that's not how it goes, though. Everybody knows that. I bet you figured out watermelons don't work like that either.
