I wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped me last time. I can't remember everyone's names, but thanks.

[There were a lot of you people. But she does appreciate it, which is why she's reaching out again.]

But ... okay, I have to ask a few things. I've heard people talk about badges, what are those?

And ... well, what are pokémon supposed to eat?

[Video tilts to show the pokémon she's concerned for, then back up to Molly's face.]

They've kind of been eating my food, but I don't know if that's good for them. But I haven't really found anything in those stores either, like bird food or ... dog food or anything like that. So if anyone could help me with that that'd be great.

[Action if anyone in Cherrygrove wants to bump into her!]

[ He can feel his ears turning slightly red from that. He's never been one to brag but this one seems to be new if she's asking about gyms, after all. ]

This one's called the Zephyr Badge from the gym in Violet City. It's the first badge I ever got.

[ And he'll just hold it up a bit closer to the screen to let her get a better look. ]

Jimmy's right in saying that. There's a gym in almost every town. So... counting the gyms in Kanto, that makes eight and even the ones in Johto brings that to a total of sixteen gyms.

How many badges have you won?

_{[She's really just curious and interested, even if she has no idea yet if she wants to fight them.]}

[ And at that, his ears just turn even redder. He never did take to taking about his accomplishments. It felt like bragging. But then this girl did seem like she was curious... and it would probably help if she's new after all. But he pauses to place the badge back in its case before getting back to her. ]

Well... I have about four now. My brother came back and I've kind of settled down in Goldenrod with him.

[ There's a pause though. He's still been trying to think about that. Did he want to go back on the road? Would Rin come with him? Either way, he still wants that Fly HM now that he's allowed to use it out of battle. ]

Are you thinking of taking on the gym challenge?

Maybe. I don't know yet.

_{[There's very real contemplation in that tone, but also a touch of confusion.]}

It's kind of weird, making them fight. I guess if they want to I should let them, but ... people told me about what you win, and it sounds okay.

But there's no gym here anyway.

Some of them seem to like it, anyway. I have to admit, it did seem pretty weird at first but... it reminded me of a video game from back home with the same idea.

[ Another pause. No gym? Well that just explained where she was, no questions asked. ]

I guess you just arrived?

_[Nod.]

Oh... I'm... sorry to hear that.

[ Did he say the right thing? It's a little hard to determine what to say at times like this. But there's a sigh. Best he not try to make it seem like a big deal... like it isn't all that bad. Maybe he can try. ]

How's everything treating you so far?

It's okay. People are really nice, and I like my pokémon.

_{[There's a pretty major unspoken "but" in that, but she chooses not to say it. Everybody else she's talked to has really liked it here. If this guy does too she doesn't want to be all sad about it.]}

[ Meanwhile, he doesn't want to assume the but. But it's like an elephant in the room. He doesn't want to make the situation sound as bad as it is, doesn't want to give her any unpleasant surprises, doesn't want to make her worry. So he'll just nod and not press any further. She seems okay... and after all, he of all people know better than to underestimate someone because of their age. ]

Good.. that's... that's good.

[ Way to act casual, Yukio. ]

It... really isn't so bad here once you get used to it.

_{[She nods. She seems okay, and she really kind of is - there's a lot she should deal with and talk about but she's doing okay, anyway. The most pressing issue is the loneliness. The having to do deal on her own. She hasn't had to do that before.]

[But she's quickly discovering that her pokémon can be really good like that.]}

That's what everybody's saying. And some people say it's better here than where they come from.

I still think there has to be a way home, but I don't know where to start looking.

I've heard them say that, too. I guess everyone's got a reason for staying if they want to.

[ There's a pause as he ruffles his hair. Ah, yes. That age old problem. ]

I'm afraid no one's been useful with any information on how to get home. But you're not the only one, though. I've been trying to find a way back, too.

[ And a frown. ]

Sometimes you get sent back... but no one really knows how or why. It just... happens.

_{[Another nod.]}

Someone told me that. And that you forget when you go home.

You didn't find anything, did you?

_{[In trying to find a way back, she means.]}

I can't really say you forget... My brother's left and come back but he seems to remember things. As for finding a way home...

[ There's a sigh of resignation though. ]

I'm afraid not. But that doesn't mean I've given up.

_{[Oh, that's ... actually really calming. She doesn't comment on it, but her expression eases up a little.]}

Sure. Unfortunately, anyone who seems to be in any position to talk about it doesn't seem to be able to. So... it'll probably be up to us.

[ He's talked to Pokegod about it and got nowhere, for pete's sake. ]

But I'm sure if anyone's found anything, it'll definitely show up on the network at some point or another.

_{[She's fine with trying her hardest too so long as she feels someone's with her, and Yukio is pretty much offering.]}

No, not really. I'm Japanese. From True Cross Town in Tokyo.

[ And a pause to think. ]

Okumura isn't a common name... so maybe you've met my brother?

Rin, right? Yeah!

_{[She perks up a bit, so it's clear she likes him.]}

[ Yeah, nice to see his brother still has that soft side. ]

That's him alright. I hope he hasn't been any trouble.

He's gonna send me a journal so he can share recipes with me.

[ But there's a fond smile though even though his sentence straddles the border between exasperated and frustrated. ]

He's been cooking ever since we were kids so... rest assured that any recipes he sends you will be good.

[ ...Yukio, you're just 16. That's technically still a kid. ]

I can't wait to try them! I should send him something, too. Do you know anything he likes?

_{[Because Molly has no time for your exasperation - she's just kind of charmed. You're both good people.]}

My brother is the kind who's willing to try anything once... so you could probably surprise him with anything.

[ Because really, Rin was never a picky eater. ]
